Krista & Donnie's wedding day was a BLAST. It's always nice when friends from the past become your wedding clients. I've known Krista's sister Ashley for a long time. The first time we met was during a middle school basketball game and Ashley would not stop putting her hands in my face. haha. We definitely joke about it now, but it was their teams way of making sure I didn't get the ball. You see, I have been 6 feet tall since about 7th grade. Not too many people were taller than me, so I usually was posted up right near the basket to make the easy lay-up. Ashley and Krista's mom was the coach that year, so she was also very familiar with who I am. Fast forward to high school and Ashley no longer had to put her hands in my face, because we were now playing for the same team! Yay! And ever since then, we've got along on and off the court. Ashley and I now both work in the same hospital, and occasionally I'll see her in the evenings clocking in to save lives as a Respiratory Therapist. But let's get back to Krista & Donnie. Their wedding day was so much fun. Lots of laughter and big smiles all around. The best thing was you could really tell how at home and comfortable Krista & Donnie were with each other. Not only did I get to be their wedding photographer, but I also got to be their nurse after Krista delivered TWINS late last year. So after alllll the time I spent with Krista & Donnie during the past year, I definitely feel like I'm part of their close circle of loved ones and friends.
