Hello there! This is Kayley, Marianne’s associate photographer as well as her go-to second shooter! I am an art teacher at a K-8 school in Savannah, GA. I love art, art history, and having the ability to work with kids and teach them to use art as a creative outlet for whatever they are going through. I love music! My husband is a musician and one of my favorite things to do is go to concerts or listen to live music around Savannah. I have two pups, Capo (5 years old) and Maggie (2 years old) that my husband and I adopted from the humane society. I act like they are my biological birth children. I am expecting my first baby in late May. We are so excited for this next chapter in our lives and sharing our love with our sweet baby boy.
Unlike most people, my interest in photography started with film photography and working in the dark room in college. Marianne asked me to second shoot a wedding for her after looking through some of my film shots and BAM! I have been photographing weddings for about 4 years now! Check out some of my past work here! In 2019, Marianne actually was the photographer for my wedding. So I have a really cool perspective of what it’s like to shoot for the MLP team as well as being the bride working with the MLP team! I have known Marianne since I was little (I was probably around 6 years old). We make an awesome team because we share a love of art and we are able to keep things fun.
As a second shooter, my responsibilities are to basically be Marianne’s right hand woman for the day. I keep us on schedule, make sure we get all of the shots that are most important to the bride, and I am the second set of eyes to capture every detail of the couple’s big day. I am also that lady crouched down in front of the first pew during the ceremony that everyone is staring at while they wait on the ceremony to begin.
As the associate photographer, I will meet with the couple after booking your wedding with Marianne. We will work together with Marianne to create your photography timeline and I will shoot your wedding along with a second shooter or assistant. Marianne works to keep everything consistent with her brand and the images you see on her website by editing everything in her light and airy style.
