When Courtney reached out to me about photographing her wedding, I was super excited. Courtney was a bridesmaid in previous wedding that I photographed plus we went to high school together & we are both working as nurses! While we were emailing back and forth, I found out that Courtney had moved to New York with her fiancé Anthony because he was in medical school up there. Courtney wrote me that she wished we could do an engagement session, and I told her that I would TOTALLY be down to fly up to NYC to take their photos (dream come true!!). I have family who live all over Long Island and New Jersey, so I just called up my Aunt and made the plans to head up to New York in the fall. Not only did we wake up at 4am to take these photos, but it was FREEZING. I was so happy that I decided to rent a car and brought my brother up with me to be our personal uber driver (pump up the heat!) and my photo assistant. It definitely helped to make the session go way smoother with all the locations we wanted to hit in the morning. This engagement session was and still is one of my favorites. We explored the Brooklyn Bridge, Dumbo, The Bow Bridge, Bethesda Terrace and The Bethesda Fountain. I love whenever I can go back to New York and take in the energy that comes off the city. It's unlike anywhere else.
